These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern access to and use of the OxPrep website, platform, tutoring services, admissions counselling, school workshops, staff training, and consultancy services (collectively, the “Services”) operated by OxPrep Pte. Ltd. (“OxPrep”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).
By accessing or using any of the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the Services.
These Terms apply to:
Individual students
Parents and legal guardians
Schools and educational institutions
Any other person accessing or using the Services
If OxPrep enters into a separate written agreement with a school or other organisation, that agreement prevails to the extent of any conflict with these Terms.
1. Overview of Services
OxPrep provides educational and advisory services to support students, families, and schools in the competitive university admissions process. Our Services include:
An AI-assisted online preparation platform (currently in development);
One-to-one tutoring and admissions counselling for individual students;
Admissions-related workshops for schools;
Professional development and staff training for educators and counsellors;
School-commissioned individual student advisory services, where OxPrep advises students selected by a school.
OxPrep is not affiliated with or endorsed by the University of Oxford, the University of Cambridge, or any other university or admissions body.
All Services are educational and advisory in nature.
2. Eligibility and Use by Minors
The Services may be used by students under 18 only with the consent and supervision of a parent, legal guardian, or school.
Parents, guardians, and schools are responsible for:
Ensuring appropriate consent is obtained;
Determining whether the Services are suitable for the student;
Supervising the student’s use of the Services.
OxPrep may refuse or discontinue Services if it believes suitable consent or supervision is not in place.
3. The OxPrep Platform (Pre-Launch)
OxPrep intends to offer an online platform incorporating AI-assisted tools. Until formally launched:
The platform is preliminary and may be accessible only in testing form;
AI-generated content may be incomplete, simplified, or inaccurate;
The platform may be changed, suspended, or withdrawn at any time without notice.
Users should not rely solely on AI-generated outputs.
OxPrep makes no representation as to functionality, availability, or accuracy until the platform is formally released.
4. Individual Tutoring & Admissions Counselling
4.1 Nature of Services
OxPrep provides one-to-one tutoring and admissions counselling, which may include:
Interview preparation
Admissions test preparation
Academic positioning
Application and admissions strategy
Review and discussion of application components
General guidance on competitive university admissions
Admissions counselling is educational and advisory, based on professional judgement and experience.
OxPrep tutors do not act as agents of any university or admissions authority.
4.2 No Guarantees
OxPrep does not guarantee:
Admission to any university;
Interview invitations or outcomes;
Test or examination performance;
Any specific academic or admissions results.
University admissions decisions are made independently by third parties.
4.3 User Decision-Making
Students, parents, and guardians acknowledge that:
OxPrep’s advice is not definitive;
Decisions regarding applications rest with the student and family;
OxPrep is not responsible for application choices, submissions, or outcomes.
4.4 Scheduling and Attendance
Sessions must be scheduled in advance.
Missed or late sessions may be forfeited unless otherwise agreed.
OxPrep may substitute tutors where necessary.
5. Workshops for Schools
5.1 Nature
Workshops provide general guidance to groups of students. They are not personalised admissions counselling.
5.2 School Responsibilities
Schools are responsible for:
Obtaining necessary consents from parents/guardians;
Supervising students during sessions;
Ensuring appropriate facilities and technology are available.
5.3 Fees and Cancellations
Fees and cancellation terms will be agreed with the school in writing before delivery.
6. Staff Training for Schools
6.1 Nature
OxPrep provides professional development and training for teachers, counsellors, and staff. Training may include:
Understanding competitive admissions
Supporting student applicants
Interview simulation techniques
Internal programme design
Admissions best practices for educators
Training is general and advisory, not institutional, legal, or regulatory advice.
6.2 School Responsibilities
Schools remain responsible for:
Interpreting and applying training content appropriately;
Ensuring compliance with institutional and legal obligations;
Decisions made by staff following the training.
6.3 Intellectual Property
Training materials (slides, frameworks, methodologies, handouts, recordings) are owned by OxPrep.
Schools receive a limited internal-use licence and may not:
Reproduce or distribute materials externally;
Publish or upload materials;
Create derivative works;
Integrate materials into curricula without permission.
6.4 Fees & Delivery
Fees, cancellation, and logistics are agreed in writing with the school.
7. School-Commissioned Advisory Services for Individual Students
7.1 Nature
Schools may engage OxPrep to advise specific students individually. Services may include:
One-to-one admissions counselling
Test and interview preparation
Application strategy guidance
These are advisory services and not assurances of outcome.
7.2 Contracting Party
The school is the contracting party.
The student is the beneficiary.
The parent/guardian must consent where required.
7.3 Responsibilities
Schools are responsible for:
Securing parental or guardian consent;
Providing accurate student information;
Ensuring student attendance.
Parents and students remain responsible for all application decisions and submissions.
7.4 No Guarantees
As with individual counselling, OxPrep does not guarantee admissions outcomes.
7.5 Data Sharing
Schools represent that they have lawful authority to share necessary student data with OxPrep.
OxPrep processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy.
7.6 Priority of Written Agreements
If a written agreement exists between OxPrep and the school, that agreement prevails over these Terms to the extent of any conflict.
8. Acceptable Use
Users must not:
Misuse, disrupt, or interfere with the Services;
Upload unlawful, harmful, or inappropriate content;
Reverse engineer or extract OxPrep software, models, prompts, or materials;
Copy, resell, or commercially exploit any aspect of the Services.
OxPrep may suspend or terminate access for breach.
9. Intellectual Property
All Service content, including:
Simulations
Prompts
AI training material
Methodologies
Assessments
Branding
Software
Workshop and training materials
…is the property of OxPrep or its licensors.
Users receive a limited, non-transferable, revocable licence for personal (or internal school) educational use only.
No reproduction, distribution, modification, or adaptation is permitted without written consent.
10. User Content
Users retain ownership of content they upload (e.g., personal statements, CVs, answers).
Users grant OxPrep a limited licence to use such content solely for:
Delivering the Services
Improving the Services
Quality assurance and training
Personal data is processed according to the Privacy Policy.
Users represent that they have rights and permissions to provide such content.
11. Third-Party Links and Services
OxPrep may include links or integrations with third-party services.
OxPrep is not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices.
Use of third-party services is at your own risk.
12. Privacy and Data Protection
OxPrep processes personal data in accordance with its Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
Schools and parents are responsible for ensuring valid consent for minors.
13. Limitation of Liability
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
To the maximum extent permitted:
OxPrep is not liable for indirect or consequential losses;
OxPrep is not responsible for decisions or outcomes related to admissions, applications, or academic performance;
OxPrep’s total liability is capped at the amount paid for the specific Service giving rise to the claim in the preceding 12 months.
This applies explicitly to admissions counselling, tutoring, workshops, staff training, and school-commissioned advisory services.
14. Termination
OxPrep may suspend or terminate access where necessary for:
Misuse
Breach of these Terms
Legal or regulatory reasons
Users may stop using the Services at any time. Refunds apply only if expressly provided.
15. Changes to the Terms
OxPrep may modify these Terms from time to time.
Material changes will be notified via website notice or email.
Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
16. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore.
The courts of Singapore have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from the Services or these Terms.
17. General Provisions
Entire Agreement: These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the entire agreement unless supplemented by a written contract.
Severability: Invalid provisions are applied to the maximum extent possible; the remainder stays in effect.
No Waiver: Failure to enforce a right does not waive it.
Assignment: Users may not assign rights without written consent. OxPrep may assign rights in connection with corporate transactions.
